Welcome to Tiger Tail Studio

A premier photo and video studio located in South Seattle, offering a 700 square feet of light and sound-controlled space with all the professional equipment at your fingertips. Our studio was designed to accommodate video production and commercial photo shoots. The space is ready with a compound cyclorama cove, backdrops, lighting, a greenroom, professional equipment, and much more. We are conveniently located 1/4 mile off the WA-167 exit in Kent. All are welcome.

Our Space Is Your Canvas

Featuring a clean shootable space with a variety of lighting and staging options. Large 20×15 compound cyclorama cove, ultra-high ceilings, props, backdrops, green screen, professional ceiling rail lighting system, sound-treated room, … and your creative genius!

Also, at your disposal, a green room/staging area to prepare your talent, props, and products. We provide convenience items and equipment, so you never have to interrupt the vision and flow of your shoot.

Studio Space

Enjoy ample space for simultaneous shooting and seamless transitioning to help you make the most of each session. The studio rental rate is $70/hour with 2 hour minimum.

Electrical – multiple 110 outlets available throughout the studio and in the green room. There are 6 two-duplex outlets (four-plug outlets) on the wall and 7 two-duplex outlets on the ceiling.
Flooring: Painted matte white near the cyclorama cove and glossy gray everywhere else. Several options available – wood floor effect, muslins, green screen, rugs, etc.

Lighting

The studio is lit with 4 Day White (5,000K) ceiling lights, and 4 dimmable ceiling lights with 3 different color temperature settings (Warm White – 3,000K, Natural White – 4,000K, and Day White – 5,000K).
Ceiling rail grid lighting system for lighting equipment. You may rent our lighting equipment or bring your own.
The room is completely enclosed and is pitch black with the lights off, thus allowing you to shape and mold the mood as you desire.

Sound

Sound-treated walls and space engineered to reduce 90+% of ambient noise.
Features professionally installed soundproofing technology: double-wall construction, two layers of 5/8″ thick sheetrock, stone wool soundproofing insulation, two layers of 1/2″ thick commercial soundproofing lead panels, soundproofing foam panels to dampen and absorb ambient noise.

GREEN ROOM Space

Green Room is available for rent for $25/hour. Prep your talent, products, and equipment … Ready, Set, and Action!

If you need a place to prepare your talent, products, or equipment, use our Green Room/ Staging Area. The room includes a make-up counter with mirror, wardrobe rack, steamer, changing area, snack fridge, shelves, and seating. If you need something special, just ask and we will do our best to accommodate.

Convenient location: just ½ mile off WA-167 Exit to Kent, 5 minutes from I-405 S, 10 minutes from I-5 (no need to fight the traffic into Seattle or Tacoma)

The communication between me and the space owner was amazing, he was sure to update me with any information I needed as well as instructions on how to get to the studio. This was a perfect space! We shot for 6hrs using the cyc wall as an infinity room for a music video and it worked flawlessly. It's a very simple studio but for the price and size you really can't beat it in this area. Samuel was great to work with and communications were fast and easy. I will definitely book this place again!

This was a hidden Gem! First, plenty of parking and easy to find studio. This amazing studio space has it all. This studio has plenty of room, for multiple studio shoot. You can do portrait, product, and concept shoot all in this space. I will be definitely be back again for more shoots. The host Sam was very helpful and responds quickly to messages and all your needs for my shoot!

Sam was amazingly helpful with not only my booking but doing everything in his power to make sure we had a great shoot day. The space was well organized and setup to get a shoot underway quickly. A great space put together by every helpful people. The only downside is that during certain times audio is difficult to capture. Road noise from the industrial location was a limiting factor in the space despite the effort put into the studio build.
